BAY MIENTTE, Alabama -- A single-vehicle crash at around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 on Baldwin County 112 near Horse Neck Road has claimed the life of a Bay Minette women.

The vehicle was traveling west when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning.

The driver, the sole-occupant of the vehicle, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene; she was not using a seat belt. The crash occurred just east of the Bay Minette city limits.

She has been identified as Amber Leigh Haugen, 41, of Bay Minette driving a 2011 Jeep Wrangler.
