BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The Bay Minette Beautification Committee is gearing up for another installment of "Clean Out & Recycle Day" to offer residents the opportunity to do a little spring cleaning. This free event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 24, at Bay Minette City Hall. Stations will be set up in the parking lot for recycling tires, grease, cardboard, aluminum, electronics and numerous other items. A shredder will also be set up for documents and files.
The Beautification Committee is excited to partner with local organizations and businesses in support of this event.
The Chapman family will have a booth set up to collect soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House which recycles the tabs for money to support its mission. North Baldwin Utilities will also be on hand with its Cease the Grease program. This program is for cooking oil only. No commercial oil, grease-trap waste, or petroleum-based motor oils accepted.
United Cerebral Palsy in Mobile will be set up to collect electronic items for recycling including computers, laptops, DVD and Blu-ray players, cell phones, tablets, home/office telephones, telecommunications equipment, keyboards, cables: audio/video, HDMI, coaxial, computer power, computer servers, flat screen televisions, flat screen monitors, printers and fax machines.

The Bay Minette Police Department will on site with its drop box to dispose of outdated or unwanted prescription medications (excluding liquids).
Bay Minette Public Library will be sharing information about its Seed Lending Library. Volunteers with the Beautification Committee and Bay Minette Lions Club will be on hand to assist residents with their recycling efforts.
