BAY MINETTE — Families of wartime veterans and surviving

spouses are invited to a free Aid and Attendance Benefit seminar

that will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m., at Southern Oaks

Assisted Living in Bay Minette.

Topics will include: understanding VA benefits and the

application process; how to become eligible even if you exceed the

limits; and what benefits you are entitled to for residing at an

assisted living community. Wartime veterans may qualify for up to

$1,644 per month, and surviving spouses, $1,056.

Sponsored by the American Association for Wartime Veterans,

the seminar will be led by Randy Frazier, Oceanside Consultants
