The Bay Minette Public Library is gearing up for its second annual Plant Swap, scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to noon on March 2 in the library courtyard.

The event, designed to facilitate the exchange of plants among local gardeners, provides a platform for enthusiasts to swap seeds, cuttings, and transplants from their own gardens with others in the community.

Participants are encouraged to adhere to simple plant swap rules, with the primary focus being on ensuring the plants are wellmaintained and healthy. It is customary for attendees to bring as many plants to swap as they take home.

In addition to plant swapping, patrons will have the opportunity to receive a "Basil Bookmark," generously donated by the Bay Minette Beautification Committee. These bookmarks contain seeded paper that can be planted to grow basil at home. The front of the bookmark also features a recipe for Fresh Basil Pesto.
