Bay Minette man arrested on burglary charges

BAY MINETTE, Ala. —  A 19-year-old Bay Minette man is being held at the Baldwin County Correctional Facility after Bay Minette Police Officers arrested him in connection with several burglaries, BMPD Chief Michael Rowland said.

Rowland said Sgt. Ricky Davis was investigating a burglary at the Incrediwash laundromat, where someone had broken into the office and taken an undisclosed amount of money.

“We determined the culprit was a 19-year-old named Chris Tunstall,” Rowland said.

He said further investigation led detectives to believe the Hall Avenue resident may be involved in more burglaries.

“Tunstall is also under investigation for a number of other burglaries on and around Hall Avenue, and some commercial burglaries,” Rowland said. “We’ve had a rash of residential burglaries, and we believe Tunstall is involved in those as well.”

Rowland said Tunstall may not have acted alone, at least in the Incrediwash incident, and that more arrests are pending.

Tunstall was arrested Jan. 26 and charged with third-degree burglary. He was taken to the BCCF, where he is being held on a $5,000 bond.
