The third annual Bay Area Songwriters Festival was held this weekend at the Old 27 Grill in Fairhope. Musicians and fans from across the Gulf Coast region came out for the three-night event to enjoy great local music, excellent food and some of the home-cured bacon created by Old 27 owner Bill Stitt. Cars were parked around the block for the free event and Stitt said he hoped to be able to make the gathering a “more than just once a year event” in the near future.
