SPANISH FORT, Ala. — A job fair will be held Monday through Wednesday, June 2-4, for the new Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World opening in Spanish Fort. Positions available include the retail store, Tracker Marine Boat Center and the Islamorada Fish Co. Restaurant.
Those interested in employment with the outdoors store need to apply in person at Daphne United Methodist Church in the Community Life Center Building, 2401 Main St. in Daphne, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
Applications will be accepted for full-time and part-time positions in the following departments: fishing, camping, hunting, archery, golf, footwear, apparel, gifts, marine accessories, boat sales, credit card sales, customer service, loss prevention, parts sales and receiving. In addition, the company will be employing cashiers, greeters, marine technicians, boat riggers, boat detailers and boat sales consultants. Restaurant positions available include hosts, servers, bussers, bartenders, dishwashers, line cook and prep. You must be at least 18 years old to apply.

The 140,000-square-foot outdoor superstore, equivalent in size to 3 1/2 football fields, is scheduled to open in August. Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is the signature tenant for the new Spanish Fort Town Center, a mixed-use development by Cypress Equities, which will encompass 200 acres on the northeast corner of I-10 and Highway 90 in Spanish Fort, Alabama on the eastern shore of the greater Mobile area.
