Virginia Kathleen Stephens Barrow, 87, a native of Bridgeport and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a secretary and bookkeeper for Continental Gin during World War II and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bay Minette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Barrow and her sister, Sally Gaines.
Survivors include three sons, James G. (Carol Jean) Barrow, Ralph (Linda) Barrow of Childersburg and Mike (Jane) Barrow of Wayland Mass.; seven grandchildren, John Barrow, Bill Barrow, Greg Barrow, Kathleen Barrow, Kristen Barrow, Joanna Barrow and Elizabeth Vana; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh May and Tanner Vana; and two sisters, Margaret Anderson and Jamie Barnes, both of Prattville.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 27 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Fitzgerald officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers were, Aldo Edwards, Tony Edwards, Steve Christenberry, Wen Liles, Jim Robertson and Willie Marshall.
