Russell “Russ” Burford Barr, 84, a native of Waynesville, Ill., and a resident of Elberta, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Whites Chapel Baptist Church. He attended First Baptist Church of Elberta.
Survivors include two sisters, Louise Howard of Elberta and Shirley (Gerald) McLaughlin of Moody; sister-in-law, Bernice Barr of Moody; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. with funeral services at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
