Barbara Ann “B.A.” Boller Hagan, 84 , of Foley, and a former resident of Magnolia Springs and Orange Beach, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 surrounded by her family.
B.A was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Benita Boller, longtime Foley residents; her brothers, Charles and Bill Boller; and her granddaughter, Natalie Clair Huett.
She is survived by her five children, Benita Hagan (Mark) Froemming, David (Pam) Hagan, Charles (Theresa) Hagan, Patti Hagan (Clark) Stewart and Sylvia Hagan (Shawn) Barnes; her sister, Janie Boller (Glenn) Moyer; sister-in-law, Martha Boller; grandchildren, Hagan and Anne Townsend Froemming, Alexander and Joiner Stewart, Andrew, Walker and Matthew Hagan, Sophie, Arthur and Julie Barnes, and Stephanie (Jeremy) Haile; great-grandchildren, Jacobe, Joshua and Sara Haile; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was also host mother to foreign exchange students, Maria Hagelstam Planting of Finland and Osamu Nishimura of Japan, and was a “second mom” to many of her children’s friends.
After raising her family, B.A. worked at two jobs she truly loved: for the Red Cross in disaster services and as a housemother at the Pi Beta Phi sorority at the University of Alabama. She touched countless lives in both of these positions and has kept in touch with many of her university girls over the years.
Within the family, there was never any doubt that Bebay was the favorite adult of many of the grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by them but never forgotten.
