Baptist Health Care has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care 2025 by Newsweek and Plant‑A Insights Group, a recognition that underscores its focus on workforce culture and patient care.

The award, announced this week, is based on an evaluation that included employee interviews, company reviews, publicly available data and an analysis of more than 120 key performance indicators.

“We are truly honored to be named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Healthcare,” said Mark Faulkner, president and CEO of Baptist Health Care. “Every team member of our organization plays a vital role in creating a workplace culture rooted in ownership, integrity, compassion, excellence and service. Together, we’ve built an environment where people feel supported, valued and inspired to make a difference.”

With more than 4,500 employees, Baptist is one of the largest nongovernmental employers in the area. Its staff has access to a robust environment that promotes growth and professional development.

“In the health care industry especially, employee engagement is crucial,” said Jennifer H. Cunningham, editor‑in‑chief of Newsweek. “These companies demonstrate exceptional commitment to creating a workplace that promotes both employee and client satisfaction at the highest level. And with higher employee engagement comes a range of benefits. That’s why Newsweek and Plant‑A Insights Group are partnering for the third‑annual ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces, recognizing the companies where employee engagement comes naturally.”

In a separate honor, Baptist Hospital has been recognized by the Florida Resuscitation Center of Excellence for its role in improving cardiac arrest outcomes. The designation confirms that the hospital meets or exceeds state standards for resuscitation care and distinguishes it as a regional leader in life‑saving practices. The facility, located in Pensacola, is the only Regional Primary Resuscitation Center of Excellence in Northwest Florida.

Launched in 2022, the Florida Resuscitation Center of Excellence initiative aims to boost survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest by standardizing protocols, enhancing staff education and providing data‑driven recommendations for ongoing improvement. Its mission also emphasizes community training in resuscitation interventions and supporting patients and families throughout recovery and rehabilitation.

“Baptist Hospital meets statewide criteria set out by the committee to earn this designation,” said Beau Pollard, vice president of Baptist Health Care and Baptist Hospital administrator. “Being a Primary Resuscitation Center of Excellence is a testament to our team’s dedication to providing the highest quality of care and saving lives.”
