FOLEY, Alabama - A trio of football players from Baldwin County will play key roles in helping the University of Alabama in its quest for a 15th national championship in Monday night's BCS National Championship game against Notre Dame.

Senior safety Robert Lester (Foley High School), junior offensive tackle D.J. Fluker (Foley High School) and freshman running back T.J. Yeldon (Daphne High School) will be featured players as No. 2 Alabama takes on No. 1 Notre Dame in Miami (Fla.) at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Lester has four interceptions, 42 tackles and 1.5 sacks this season for the Tide. He has 14 career interceptions in 39 starts and has accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl later this month. Fluker has started every game on the offensive line this season for Alabama and has 35 career starts. He has a 98.6 blocking percentage, meaning he has only missed 11 assignments out of 728 snaps this season.

Yeldon, a true freshman, is the team's second leading rusher with 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns on 154 carries. He also has 10 catches for 131 yards, including a game-winning touchdown catch against LSU earlier this season.
