The Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Baldwin County will host a Free Disposal Day on Saturday, April 18, giving residents the chance to safely dispose of hard-to-recycle items at no cost.
The event will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Magnolia, MacBride, Eastfork landfills as well as Bay Minette Transfer Station and Fairhope Charm.
Residents can bring yard waste, construction debris, cardboard, tires, electronics, furniture, appliances, scrap metal, carpet, paint, and household hazardous waste. Free Day is limited to residential debris, and normal fees will apply for commercial or business disposal.
SWDA staff will be on-site to assist with unloading and ensure proper handling of all materials. The initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce landfill waste, protect local waterways, and promote a cleaner, healthier community.
The Solid Waste Disposal Authority encourages Baldwin County residents to take advantage of the one-day event to declutter homes responsibly. For more information, visit www.baldwincountyswda.org.
