BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Baldwin County Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack attended a Law Enforcement Educational Seminar in Israel May 11-20. The educational trip was sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation of Washington, D.C.

The Foundation funded the trip which included 15 sheriff’s selected from across the United States, one police chief, and three other individuals from law enforcement agencies.

By participating in this trip, law enforcement officials from the United States were able to view cutting edge techniques, technology, and leadership among those who fight terrorism daily.

The ultimate goal of the trip was to promote law enforcement and personal relationships between those who work in the United States and their counterparts in Israel. During the trip, the Sheriff’s were able to visit various police stations, military operations, government operations, as well as supported history of the political climate in the Middle East.

Cities and areas visited were Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Sea of Galilee, Syrian Border, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, and various other communities.
