Daphne Trojans, Robertsdale Golden Bears boys' teams both register double-digit selections

Baldwin County Public Schools announced its All-County Soccer teams and recognized 65 student-athletes, 41 boys’ soccer players and 24 girls’ soccer players.

The Class 7A state champion Daphne Trojans led the way with 12 selections, followed by the Robertsdale Golden Bears with 10 on the boys’ side. All of the girls’ teams earned four honorees.

The Trojans’ all-county selections were split between three seniors, eight juniors and one freshman where Henry McMurphy, Beck Risser and Isaiah Lauzon all finished their high school careers with the honor.

Junior classmates Noah Miller, Ethan Perrigin, Kipper Miller, Tudor Munteneau, Morgan Reilly, Jaidan Workman, Baylor Beard and Patrick McAllister will all return next season alongside freshman Alex Potier. McMurphy, Reilly, Risser and both Millers were all also named all-state.

Similarly for Robertsdale, the Golden Bears had four seniors, two juniors, three sophomores and a freshman recognized for their efforts.

Upperclassmen honored included senior classmates Armando Romero, Alex Cruz, Miguel Romero and Victor Gomez as well as juniors Henry Capiz and Kevin Zavala. Sophomores Hayden Harville, Edwin Alcantara and Erick Garay, as well as freshman Brandon Lopez, were the underclassmen representatives. Romero, Zavala and Harville all also garnered all-state honors.

Three boys’ soccer teams had five athletes recognized with all-county distinction, including Baldwin County High School. The Tigers were represented by Eli Emmons, Ferris Ronquille, Jacob Hughes, Tony LiCalzi and Carter Hall.

The Fairhope Pirates’ all-county selections included Matthew Stroud, Luke Freer, Issy Cerna Castillo, Carter Willis and Jack Burns and the Foley Lions were represented by Alexander Gonzalez, Christian Vazquez, Colin Stugart, Isaac Gamez and Ean Middleton. Stroud also represented Fairhope on the Class 7A first-team all-state.

The Elberta Warriors rounded out the boys’ honorees with four student-athletes, including Seth Mitchell, Carlos Rojas, Erik Pantoja and Dakota Cline.

On the girls’ circuit, the Fairhope Lady Pirates finished as the Class 7A state runners-up and had a player make an all-state team. Fairhope’s all-county selections included Ansley Warner, Harper Duffy, Peyton Davis and Aidyn Hagan.

For the Foley Lady Lions who won their first area championship, Macee Morin, Mae Carvin, Karli Larousse and AB Korhonen were all named to the all-county team. Korhonen was also named to the super all-state team that recognized athletes regardless of classification.

Similarly for the Daphne Lady Trojans, Alexandria Warner, Dinuki Wickramanayake, Abigail Jordan and Alexia Charqueno all were named all-county where the former three were also honored with all-state distinction.

For the Spanish Fort Lady Toros, Caroline Krebbs was named to the first-team all-state and was joined by Emily Fahy, Beatriz Souza and Emma Kate Wilson in being named to the all-county team.

The Robertsdale Golden Bears were represented by senior Isabella Gozon and sophomore classmates Kyleigh Kitchens, Emily Smith and Chloe Ash on the all-county team.

The Baldwin County High School Lady Tigers’ all-county selections were Maddie Beaver, Anna Grace McKinnis and Arianna McMahill.
