Baldwin County plans 7 p.m. meeting for Isaac state of emergency, voluntary evacuations

BAY MINETTE Alabama — Baldwin County Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. at the emergency operations center in Robertsdale to review a local state of emergency, voluntary evacuations and activation of emergency shelters based on preliminary metereological information of Tropical Storm Isaac’s track.

The meeting will be at 23100 McAuliffe Drive in a conference room.

County officials also will consider closure of certain county facilities, debris removal and sand removal operations including, but not limited to, placing the applicable vendors on notice regarding preparatory matters, and adoption of a curfew based on the sheriff’s recommendation.
