Baldwin County HOSA dominates 7th annual competition at Foley High

Baldwin County High School students swept the podium in both written and hands-on events at the 7th annual HOSA competition Friday, Jan. 30, held at Foley High School.

More than 50 students from Spanish Fort High School, Foley High School and Baldwin County High School competed in the event, each taking a written test to determine the top 10 performers in two categories: Health Science and Sports Med Foundations/Intermediate. Those 20 students advanced to hands-on skill competitions, while the remaining participants learned first aid, spine boarding and splinting from Foley Fire and Rescue.

Baldwin County HOSA once again proved dominant, capturing first, second and third places in both academic and practical events. BCHS also excelled in the speed ankle taping competition, claiming first and second place with the fastest tape completed in 29 seconds.
