Baldwin County Forensics Foundation announces fundraising event to support forensic services

Posted

Baldwin County Forensics Foundation will host a community fundraising event Saturday, Aug. 22, to support forensic services, education and resources aimed at strengthening the justice system and public safety in Baldwin County.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Waters Barn, 23965 Fountain St. in Robertsdale.

The foundation's mission focuses on supporting forensic science education, innovation and collaboration throughout Baldwin County. Through investments in training, equipment and public outreach, the organization works to help local agencies access the tools and resources needed to provide accurate, timely and science-based investigative support.

“Our goal is to enhance the forensic capabilities that support victims, families and the pursuit of justice,” the organization said in the release. “This event is an opportunity for our community to directly invest in those efforts.”

Tickets are available at https://shorturl.at/YCmuH. Each ticket admits two people and includes a barbecue dinner. Attendees do not have to be present to win door prizes.

The event's door prizes include a .22-caliber Henry lever-action rifle, a 110-quart hard cooler and a Bad Boy 750 Crew four-seat utility vehicle.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the foundation's efforts to provide forensic resources, training and public education to strengthen the justice process in Baldwin County.

The foundation also is seeking sponsors for the event. A $1,500 sponsorship includes a reserved table with eight to 10 seats, a sponsor announcement during the program, social media recognition and the sponsor's name displayed on the foundation's website.

According to the foundation, sponsorship partnerships help advance forensic readiness, support victims and provide local agencies with tools that can aid investigations and improve community safety.

The Baldwin County Forensics Foundation encourages residents to attend the event, become a sponsor or help spread the word. The organization said tickets, sponsorships and donations all contribute to its efforts to advance forensic services in Baldwin County.
