The Baldwin County Farmers Federation will host a meet-and-greet for statewide and local candidates the group has endorsed on April 13.
The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Baldwin County Federation Building, 21332 AL-59 in Robertsdale. Admission is free and open to the public, a news release regarding the event said.
"We expect a huge turnout for this event," Baldwin County Farmers Federation President and Alabama Farmers Federation Southwest Vice President Hope Cassebaum said. "This is an excellent opportunity for people to hear from our endorsed candidates and get to know them personally, as well as learn about the issues that are important to them."
Only candidates endorsed by the Federation and invited to participate will speak during the event.
Statewide candidates scheduled to appear include Attorney General Steve Marshall, candidate for U.S. Senate; Jerry Carl, candidate for U.S. Congress District 1; Douglas Mayor Corey Hill, candidate for commissioner of agriculture and industries; and Caroleene Dobson, candidate for secretary of state.
Local candidates expected to speak include Terry Waters for Senate District 22; Joe Freeman for House District 95; Danielle Duggar for House District 96; and county commission candidates Richard Cox, Angelo Fermo, Kevin Brock and Tater Harris.
