Camp Bluebird Newly diagnosed adult cancer patients are encouraged to register now for an upcoming Sacred Heart Health System program that offers support, encouragement and renewal for both patients and their family members. All adult cancer patients are encouraged to participate, even if they are not seeing a Sacred Heart physician.
Camp Bluebird, a retreat experience for people coping with cancer, is scheduled for Oct. 20 – 22 at Sacred Heart’s Miracle Camp.
Evening campfires conclude the day's activities.

Team Fox for Parkinson’s research will be held at Bruno’s Supermarket in Spanish Fort September 26 from noon to until 3 p.m.
The event will include a free health fair with over 15 vendors doing various health screenings, singing by a local church group and activities for the kids.
In order to raise money for Parkinson’s research Team Fox will have a silent auction with prizes which include a Budweiser kayak, several grills, Coca-Cola tailgate prize packs and Coca Cola hammocks.
The event will close with a one mile fun run called Shake, Rattle and Run.
Applications for the run are available at Bruno’s Supermarket in Spanish Fort and Fairhope.
In ordered to be guaranteed an event t-shirt you must apply before September 18th.
The cost of the fun run is $5 in advance and $10 the day of the event
The Baldwin County Historical Society meeting will be Sunday, September 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the Daphne Senior Center at 2605 Highway 98 in Daphne.
The program will be on the modern legacy of the British Colonial Period on the Middle Gulf Coast.
The program will concentrate on the effects of British Colonial Rule in British West Florida from 1763 to 1782.
Frank Laraway will present the program. Light refreshments will be provided. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
