Baldwin Bone & Joint's Dr. Keith Spain will serve as the official physician for the Sun Belt Conference championships as collegiate athletes from across the region return to Foley this fall.

Spain, a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist, will oversee athlete health and provide care on site during three major events hosted by Foley Sports Tourism: the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship on Oct. 30-31, the Sun Belt Women's Soccer Championship on Nov. 2-8 and the Sun Belt Women's Volleyball Championship on Nov. 19-23.

As physician on call, Spain brings expertise in the non-surgical treatment of orthopaedic injuries and medical conditions for athletes of all ages and skill levels. He has served youth leagues, high school teams and collegiate programs throughout Baldwin County and the Gulf Coast.

"I am honored to serve as the official physician for the Sun Belt Conference Championships," Spain said. "My priority is to ensure that every athlete receives top-tier medical care, allowing them to compete safely and confidently."

Foley has become a key hub for Sun Belt postseason play in recent years, drawing thousands of student-athletes, coaches and fans to its multi-sport complex and boosting the region's tourism economy during the fall sports season. The Sun Belt Conference includes 14 member schools across the Southeast and Southwest, and its championships typically feature competitive fields with teams eyeing NCAA tournament bids.
