Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C. will bring its Community Education Series to Spanish Fort and Orange Beach this fall, offering free Lunch and Learn programs focused on hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Andrew McGee, an orthopaedic surgeon with Baldwin Bone & Joint who specializes in hip and knee replacements, will lead the presentations titled “Getting Back in the Game with Hip & Knee Replacement - Understanding the Process: When to Choose, What to Expect & Keys to Effective Recovery.”

The first event is scheduled for Sept. 24 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Spanish Fort Express YMCA, 6729 Spanish Fort Blvd. Reservations are required by Sept. 17 and can be made by calling (251) 281-8781.

The second program will take place Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Orange Beach Senior Center, 26251 Canal Road. Reservations are due by Oct. 13 at (251) 424-1988.

McGee, who joined Baldwin Bone & Joint after extensive training, earned an undergraduate degree with honors at Auburn University and completed medical school and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He later completed a hip and knee fellowship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

“I chose orthopaedics because it allows me to solve real problems with tangible results,” McGee said. “I’m drawn to the precision, the process, and the reward of helping people regain movement and quality of life. My philosophy is simple: do the work right the first time, treat people the way you’d want your own family treated, and always keep learning.”
