Baldwin Bone & Joint appoints new chief financial officer

Baldwin Bone & Joint, the largest privately owned orthopaedic practice in Baldwin County according to the company, has named Anthony J. “Tony” Palazzo, CPA (Inactive), MHA, as its new chief financial officer.

Accoring to a news release, Palazzo joins the Daphne-based practice with more than two decades of experience in healthcare finance and administration. Most recently, he served as vice president of finance for Infirmary Medical Clinics, a multispecialty network within Infirmary Health. In that role, he directed financial operations for more than 20 clinics across 20 specialties.

His background includes physician contracting, value-based care initiatives, financial planning and regulatory compliance. Palazzo has worked alongside physicians, clinicians and executives throughout his career to improve financial performance, streamline operations and enhance clinical outcomes.

A native of Mississippi, Palazzo earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is also a certified public accountant and an active participant in healthcare leadership organizations.
