Baldwin Bone & Joint adds orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Andrew McGee

Fellowship-trained Mobile native to begin seeing patients in September

Baldwin Bone & Joint will soon welcome Dr. Andrew McGee, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement, to its growing team of physicians.

McGee, a Mobile native, is set to begin seeing patients in early September at the practice’s Spanish Fort, Daphne and Foley locations according to a news release.

He joins Baldwin Bone & Joint with extensive training and a patient-focused approach. McGee earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Auburn University, attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UAB Medical Center. He went on to complete a hip and knee fellowship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

“I chose orthopaedics because it allows me to solve real problems with tangible results,” McGee said in the release. “I’m drawn to the precision, the process, and the reward of helping people regain movement and quality of life. My philosophy is simple: do the work right the first time, treat people the way you’d want your own family treated, and always keep learning.”

McGee is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

For McGee, the move is more than professional — it’s personal.

“The opportunity to serve in a close-knit community — alongside good people and strong leadership — made Baldwin Bone & Joint the clear choice,” he said. “It’s also a place where my family can thrive, both professionally and personally, with excellent schools, a supportive church family, and a lifestyle that aligns with our values. We’re truly excited to be part of a practice and a town where relationships still matter.”
