Baldwin Bone and Joint hosts hip and knee replacement education event in Orange Beach

Posted

Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., a Daphne-based orthopaedic practice, will host the latest installment of its Community Education Series with a free Lunch and Learn event on hip and knee replacement.

The session, titled “Getting Back in the Game with Hip & Knee Replacement - Understanding the Process: When to Choose, What to Expect & Keys to Effective Recovery,” will be led by orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Andrew McGee.

The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Orange Beach Senior Center, 26251 Canal Rd. Residents interested in attending are asked to reserve a spot by Oct. 13 by calling (251) 424-1988.

Dr. McGee specializes in hip and knee replacements and brings extensive training and experience to his patients. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors at Auburn University before completing medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following his orthopaedic surgery residency at UAB Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

McGee is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

“I chose orthopaedics because it allows me to solve real problems with tangible results,” McGee said. “I’m drawn to the precision, the process and the reward of helping people regain movement and quality of life. My philosophy is simple: do the work right the first time, treat people the way you’d want your own family treated and always keep learning.”
