The Baldwin Bengals, the LSU Alumni Chapter on the Eastern Shore, will host their annual “Boil on the Bay” Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, April 11 from 4-7 p.m. at Halstead Amphitheater in downtown Fairhope.
The event promises a taste of Louisiana with fresh crawfish boiled on-site, live music from Johnny Hayes and a lively Gulf Coast atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverages and lawn chairs for a true Cajun-style party.
Families are welcome, with hamburgers and hotdogs for kids and activities like crawfish races to keep everyone entertained. The LSU Alumni Association will sell merchandise and auction memorabilia signed by LSU coaches and players, while CC’s Coffeehouse brings its Trolley offering Community Coffee giveaways and swag.
“Boil on the Bay is one of our favorite traditions each year because it combines fun-loving fellowship with a meaningful cause,” said Bettsie Norton, President of the Baldwin Bengals. “Every ticket purchased directly supports LSU scholarships for students right here in Baldwin County.”
Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships for local students attending Louisiana State University. Sponsors making the evening possible include Stirling Properties, Performance Contractors, Southern Heritage Farms, Lad Drago Insurance, Another Broken Egg Café, Pro 1 Painters, Urology Associates, Cardiology Associates, Bay Animal Clinic and Dobson Management.
