Temperance Gaddell Babcock and Christopher James Steiskal were united in marriage at 6 p.m. March 31, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church, Ardmore, Okla., with Minister Mike Priest officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Roy Babcock of Ardmore, Okla. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Steiskal Jr. of Gulf Shores.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, Dell Roy Babcock, wore a white, strapless satin cuffed bodice with full puelle skirt embellished with sparkling beads and chapel train.
Betty Schoonover, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Chandler, Shae White and Stacie Daniel.
Robert Joseph Steiskal, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jacob Nims, Glenn First and Bo White.
Candle lighters were Matthew and Isaac Babcock, brothers of the bride.
A reception at Dornick Hills Country Club followed the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise throughout the Western Caribbean, the couple will live in Flowood, Miss., a surburb of Jackson, where the bridegroom is employed with the U.S. Department of Justice.
