Clyde Edward Ayers Jr., born July 12, 1948, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008.
He served during Vietnam Crisis in the U.S. Army for three years. He was also a member of Bay Minette Jaycees until 1982. He was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Member and taught Special children for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Michella Elaine Ayers; sister, Sandra Povich of Spokane, Wash.; and aunt, Marie Whibbs of Pensacola, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Saint Agatha Church in Bay Minette. A reception will be held afterward in the church parish hall.
His remains are donated to College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama where he had earned his teacher degree - master of Education.
