Author Paula L. Webb to speak at Foley Public Library

FOLEY - Local author Paula L. Webb is set to speak during the Foley Public Library’s monthly Coffee & Donuts With An Author on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. The presentation will take place in the library’s upstairs meeting room.

Webb will discuss her latest publication, “Such a Woman: The Life of Octavia Walton LaVert.” A brief Q&A will follow the presentation. Webb has a Master’s in Library Information Science from the University of Alabama and is currently a tenured Librarian at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She enjoys performing research. Her first book, “Mobile Under Siege: Surviving the Union Blockade,” published in 2016, documents her local history findings.
