Augusta “Faye” Davis

Augusta “Faye” Davis, 75, known to family and friends as Faye and to close family as Maw Maw Tiger, passed on Sept. 22, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola. Faye was a native of Belforest and resident of Loxley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil H. Davis Sr.; son, Kenneth Earl Davis; and two daughters, Susan Elaine Horne and Therese Lynne Davis.

Survivors include Charlotte and Johnny Parker Jr., of Loxley; son-in-law, Randy Horne of Marlow; Karen and Mike Bittle of Bay Minette; son, Virgil H. “Tiger” Davis Jr. of Loxley; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her special sister-in-law “Sister Kitty” of Belforest; multiple sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Maw Maw Tiger was the matriarch of her family and will be missed by “her bunch.”

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Batchelor officiating. Burial will be in Brook Cedron Cemetery in Barnwell.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9 until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their gratitude to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center ER and ICA for taking such good care of Mrs. Davis. Also, we have great respect for Select Specialty for care given to our mother. Gratitude is also expressed to the friends and families for prayers and support to the Davis Family.
