The Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department recently hosted a Liquid Petroleum Gas training class in conjunction with 11 other Baldwin County Fire Departments, including Stockton, Silverhill, Fish River-Marlow, Barnwell, Loxley, Belforest, Magnolia Springs, Bay Minette, Rabun and Bon Secour. The Mobile Fire. Department also participated. All are volunteer fire departments with the exception of Mobile. Instructors from the Alabama Fire College along with Fairhope Volunteer firefighter and certified instructor John Saraceno taught the firefighter’s safety techniques for propane fires. Blossom Gas Co. assisted with the training. The Silverhill and Spanish Fort fire departments both assisted with training and logistics.
