Area Agency on Aging providing free tax preparation appointments across Baldwin County

Residents can schedule appointments for free tax preparation now as the RSVP/TCE Free Tax Prep Program has opened multiple appointment-only sites across Baldwin County and nearby areas.

The service is provided through a federal grant from the IRS and is staffed entirely by IRS-trained and certified volunteers. Federal and state tax returns are electronically filed at no cost. Some specialty tax forms and returns are considered out of scope under RSVP TCE guidelines.

Appointments are required at all locations and availability is limited. To schedule an appointment for most Baldwin County locations, residents should call (251) 289-1391.

• Bay Minette Senior Center, once per month, appointments at (251) 289-1391

• Daphne Macedonia Church, Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., appointments at (251) 289-1391
• Spanish Fort Senior Center, Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., appointments at (251) 289-1391
• Fairhope Satellite Courthouse, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., appointments at (251) 317-1877
• Robertsdale Baldwin County Council on Aging, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon, appointments at (251) 972-8506

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPOINTMENTS

Participants must bring all required documentation to their appointment. Incomplete documentation may delay service.

Required items include a completed IRS Form 13614-C. The form can be downloaded at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f13614c.pdf and may also be available prior to appointments at select locations.

Additional required documents include a copy of last year’s tax return, all income information such as W-2s and 1099s for interest, dividends, pensions, annuities and brokerage accounts, as well as documentation for additional income including jury duty pay, non-employee compensation and lottery or gambling winnings.

Taxpayers must provide a state driver’s license or state ID, Social Security cards or Social Security statements for everyone listed on the return, birth dates for the taxpayer, spouse and dependents and proof of health insurance such as Medicare cards or Forms 1095-A, 1095-B or 1095-C.

A total of all itemized deductions and credits should be prepared in advance, including medical expenses, taxes, education expenses, mileage and charitable contributions. A death certificate is required for any deceased spouse or dependent claimed on a 2025 return.

All tax preparation sites are operated by the RSVP/TCE Tax Prep Program and are available by appointment only.
