Merriel S. Ard, 81, a native and lifelong resident of Robertsdale, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
He is a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He loved to fish and hunt and was a longtime produce farmer in central Baldwin County.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Kaiser of Gulf Shores and Brenda Calvert of Robertsdale; sister, Susie Mae Richardson of Robertsdale; three brothers, Gloyice Ard of Orange Beach, Alonzo Ard of Robertsdale and W.D. Ard of Silverhill; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. held Saturday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Young officiating. Burial will follow at Hail Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
