The Local Agency Review Committee 11 has opened the application period for the 2026 Alabama State Employee Combined Campaign, inviting eligible unaffiliated charitable health and human care organizations with 501(c)(3) status to apply for inclusion in the upcoming campaign.

Approved organizations will be eligible to receive designation disbursements from Alabama state employees who choose to support nonprofits through payroll deduction. Since its inception in 1993, the State Employee Combined Campaign has provided a centralized giving opportunity for state employees and has generated more than $22 million in contributions to approved agencies statewide, supporting a wide range of health and human service programs.

United Way of Southwest Alabama serves as the Local Campaign Manager for LARC 11, which represents Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe and Washington counties.

Applications must be postmarked or hand-delivered by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, to United Way of Southwest Alabama, 218 St. Francis Street, Mobile, AL 36602. A complete application packet, including all required documentation and enclosures, is required for consideration. Application forms and detailed instructions are available upon request.

To assist agencies interested in applying, a voluntary in-person training session will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Goodwill Gulf Coast, 2440 Gordon Smith Drive, Mobile 36617. Agencies planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Friday, Feb. 20, by emailing lschraeder@uwswa.org.

Organizations with questions or those needing application materials may contact Leslie Schraeder at lschraeder@uwswa.org or (251) 431-0101 or Lauren Luckie-Merz at lluckie@uwswa.org or (251) 219-3443.
