Anna Pontius, age 65, a resident of Wilsonville, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
She is survived by her son Andrew (Tara) Pontius, III of Wilsonville; one brother, James (Mary) Chastang of White House Fork and two grandsons, Andrew Pontius, IV and Jackson Pontius both of Wilsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Pontius; two brothers, Bert Chastang and Dewey Chastang and one sister, Nancy Catrett. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Chastang Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Service at Norris Funeral Home.
