Amelia Ruth Garner Cox, age 90, a resident of the Haven of Our Lady of Peace, Pensacola and a former longtime resident of Stockton and Robertsdale, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016.

Ruth was born in 1926 on a freezing cold morning in Heiberger, Ala. when a glass of water was found frozen on the mantle.
