Residents and visitors are invited to step back into the Wild West for an interactive murder mystery at the Wales West Light Railway.
The event, produced by Improbable Cause Mystery Theatre-Gulf Coast and catered by the railway, takes place Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at 13670 Smiley Street.
Attendees will enter the fictional town of Wales West, the future site of a booming 19th century metropolis envisioned by an eccentric real estate tycoon. The adventure begins aboard the Dame Anne locomotive, where a shocking act of foul play sets the stage for a 90-120 minute interactive mystery. Guests of all ages become detectives, analyzing evidence, interrogating suspects and piecing together clues alongside Sheriff Gunn to uncover the culprit before supper is served.
The experience includes an authentic locomotive excursion, an appetizer at the train station before the ride, a full meal with dessert at the mystery venue, tea and water, and soft drinks served in a reusable souvenir cup. Guests can also take photos with the cast and crew and compete for prizes as top sleuths. After the show, the railway’s putt-putt golf course is open for additional fun.
Tickets are $65 for adults, $45 for children ages 3-12, and free for children 2 and under. Reservations can be made online at www.waleswest.com. For more information, call (251) 232-2322 or message Wales West Light Railway on Facebook.
