Alfred Bruce Hall Sr., 52, of Oak Grove, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born Dec. 31. 1958 in Oak Grove to Mildred Marie Hadley and Earnest Jerry Hall.
He loved the outdoors and spent most of his life as a wildlife hunting guide with a successful business — Boar Busters — in Vilkle Platte, La. He wrote articles for wildlife magazines and appeared on wildlife TV shows in Louisiana. He was a man’s man and should have been born 100 years ago.
Survivors include hiw wife, Brenda Hall of Oak Grove; his parents, Earnes Jerry (Judy) Hall of Oak Grove; his mother, Mildred Marie Hadley Hall of Atmore; brother, Marion Mark (Debra) Hall of Ocwocknee, Ga.; six children, Jennifer Hall Guidry of Oxford, Mass., Katie Hall (Brian) Toy of Virginia, Aldred Bruce Hall II of Byrneville, Windy Hall (Jared) Hudson of Gautier, Miss., Brandon Hall of Pensacola, and Megan Hall McMillin of Pensacola; four step-children, Scott (Jana) Bartley of Oak Grove, Johnathon Frost of Mobile, Chris Frost of Atmore and April Garvin of Atmore; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 31 at Petty-Eastside Chpal Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Aaron Hall, Scott Bartley, John Hansen, Bobby Hadley, Alex Hansen, Brian Rolin, Kenny Rolin, Jimmy Hadley and Joey Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Qualls and Randy Thames.
Arrangements were made by Petty Funeral Homes LLC, Eastside Chapel, Atmore.
