Always wanted to help save the turtles but not sure how?

Here's your chance.

The Alabama Coastal Foundation is kicking off its annual Share the Beach sea turtle conservation program with volunteer meetings this month, inviting new participants to join the effort to protect endangered sea turtles along the state’s coast.

The Baldwin County kickoff meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at Conservation Hall on The Learning Campus at Gulf State Park, 20249A State Park Road, Gulf Shores. A second meeting for volunteers will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in Shelby Auditorium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, 101 Bienville Boulevard, Dauphin Island.

Prospective volunteers must attend one of the two sessions to participate in this season’s conservation efforts. The program offers opportunities to monitor nesting beaches, record turtle activity and support ongoing protection initiatives.

For more information about volunteering, call (251) 990-6002, email info@joinACF.org or visit www.joinACF.org.
