The prosecution of former Mobile County commissioner Steve Nodine will go forward in the hands of the Alabama Attorney General’s Office. That announcement was made Wednesday afternoon. The lead prosecutor is no stranger to Baldwin County.
Longtime Baldwin County district attorney David Whetstone will serve as supernumerary prosecutor at the request of Attorney General Luther Strange. Nodine is currently facing charges of negligent homicide and perjury in connection with the 2010 death of Angel Downs, his mistress, in Gulf Shores.
