Action Roofing marked Teacher Appreciation Week with a community cookout honoring 220 teachers and staff at Gulf Shores Elementary School, a news release said.
The event underscored the company’s introduction to the Gulf Coast, the release said.
The full-service residential and commercial roofing company sponsored the “Grillin’ Up Gratitude” lunch May 4, providing all ingredients for the midday event. Local firefighters volunteered their time to grill burgers, transforming the lunch break into a community gathering that brought together educators, first responders and local business representatives.
“There is no better way to introduce yourself to a new community than to invest in the people who make it great,” Ryan Krantz, Director of Operations at Action Roofing, said in the release. “The teachers at Gulf Shores Elementary dedicate themselves to these kids every single day, and we are proud that one of our first acts in this community was to celebrate them.”
Gulf Shores Elementary sits at the center of a close-knit coastal community where partnerships between schools, businesses and public safety agencies are common. Events like the cookout reflect a broader culture of collaboration that has become a defining feature of the area. For Action Roofing, the event served as both a gesture of appreciation and a step toward building relationships as it expands along the Gulf Coast.
