DAPHNE, Ala.—Daphne senior Dalton Filotei has verbally committed to play baseball at The George Washington University in the nations capital city.
The Trojan outfielder has been a consistent threat from the left side of the plate since his sophomore year for DHS head coach Joe Hutchins.
Filotei participated in the East Coast Pro Showcase in New York and the Area Code Games in Long Beach, California recently and said he is excited about the opportunity to play for former Pittsburgh Pirate major league hitting coach Gregg Ritchie and his speed oriented offense. Filotei plans to study aeronautical engineering.
