Residents have plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the community this week.
From live music and art markets to fundraisers, mixers and special dinners, local groups and businesses are hosting a variety of activities across the area. The following events offer options for connecting with neighbors, supporting causes and experiencing food, music and the arts.

What: Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores will partner with Big Beach Brewing for a multi-course craft beer dinner featuring specially paired dishes and brews. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Must be 21 and older to attend.

What: Downtown Foley businesses will participate in Third Thursday, an evening event featuring art, refreshments, fashion and activities at various locations. What: Impact 100 Baldwin County will host a Meet and Mingle Membership Drive for current and prospective members at Heron Pointe at The Wharf. Guests may learn more about the organization’s mission and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Membership is open to all Baldwin County women 18 and older. What: Barometer Waterfront Grille will host CRUSH, a singles mixer featuring drink specials, upbeat music and a social atmosphere for meeting new people. The event is hosted by Rhonda Hart. Drink specials include $4 Singles with a Mixer, $4 house white and red and $3 draft beer.

What: The St. Francis Music Society will present the next concert in its series featuring pianists Dr. Robert Holm, professor of piano at the University of South Alabama, and St. Francis’s Dr. Benjamin Rollings. The two will perform major works written for two pianos. Selections will include Lutoslawski’s “Variations on a Theme by Paganini”; Mozart’s “Sonata for Two Pianos in D major (K. 448)”; Poulenc’s “Concerto for Two Pianos”; and Rachmaninoff’s “Symphonic Dances, Opus 45.” The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.

What: Baldwin County Animal Shelter will offer rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats. Pets must be restrained by their owners during vaccination. The shelter will also be open for adoptions during the event. Payment for the clinic is accepted by cash or check.
When: Saturday, Jan. 17, 9-11 a.m.

Price: $15 per vaccination
What: The Gulf Coast Arts Alliance will host its January Art Market at First Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores. The event will feature original works by local and regional artists showcasing a variety of fine arts and crafts. All are welcome.

What: Robertsdale Masonic Lodge will host a roast beef dinner fundraiser including roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, coleslaw, bread and dessert. What: Fairhope Brewing Company will celebrate its 13th anniversary with an all-day party featuring more than 40 beers on tap, live music and food trucks with a Friday the 13th theme.
