Happy Good Friday everyone. Easter weekend has arrived, Baldwin County students are wrapping up spring break and fun events are happening to keep the whole family engaged.

Kick off the weekend fun Thursday with some egg decorating at the Mobile Museum of Art or enjoy an evening of live music in Gulf Shores' Waterway Village. On Friday, hop over to Wales West for a ride on the Cottontail Express. Saturday is the day to enjoy the biannual Elberta German Sausage Festival for a limited-edition sausage or take in an author talk at the Fairhope Museum of History. Wrap up the weekend with Easter service and fun at the Flora-Bama.

Family Art – Mobile Museum of Art

  • What: If you are looking for something fun and Easter related, why not decorate eggs at the Mobile Museum of Art? Visit the museum before or after class and make it a full day out.
  • When: Thursday, March 28, 1-3 p.m.

Waterway Village Concert Series

  • What: Each Thursday at 5:30 p.m., the Waterway Village will come alive with music, food trucks and more. This week's scheduled performers are Everette and Crawford & Power.

Cottontail Express at Wales West

  • What: All aboard the Dame Ann and ride on down to the "Bunny Hutch" to visit with the Easter Bunny, hunt eggs and make an Easter craft. Wales West has a full slate of fun on tap for the whole family. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit waleswest.com.

The Original German Sausage Festival

  • What: Don't miss the top community event in Baldwin County. Baldwin County residents have voted the Elberta German Sausage Festival Best of Baldwin two years in a row. Get there early because the signature German sausage will sell out.
  • When: Saturday, March 30, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Where: 13052 Main St., Elberta

American Battlefield Trust Park Day

  • What: Have you ever dreamed of being an archaeologist? In observance of the American Battlefield Trust's National Park Day, Historic Blakeley State Park is giving visitors a special chance to assist professional archaeologists in documenting a part of Fort Blakeley known as Redoubt 3. Registration is requested, visit blakeleypark.com.
  • When: Saturday, March 30, 8 a.m. – noon
  • Where: The site is 1.75 miles north of the park entrance. Visit blakeleypark.com for directions.

Fairhope Museum Speaker Series

  • What: The Fairhope Museum of History presents the final speaker of March, Lila Marie Pennington Ryals. A lifelong Fairhope resident, Ryals will discuss her book "What Would Mama Do?: Growing Up An "Almost" Orphan in Fairhope."
  • When: Saturday, March 30, 1 p.m.
  • Where: Fairhope Museum of History, 24 N. Section St., Fairhope

Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Drop

  • What: Spend your Easter on the beach this year. The Church at the Flora–Bama has three service times (6 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.). Easter crafts and face painting begin at 11 a.m. followed by the egg hunt before the Easter Bunny drops in, from the sky. Don't miss the fun.
