Goodbye May and hello June. Let Gulf Coast Media help you keep your summer weekends full of fun and interesting events. Baldwin County is blessed to have many bodies of water and beaches to choose from, but if you are looking for something different, our list of weekend events has you covered. This weekend's list ranges from golf and the Grateful Dead to beach plastic and full moon paddle. This weekend's events also cover the Gulf Coast from Orange Beach and Dauphin Island to Lillian and Daphne.

Junior Golf Carnival

  • What: Heal My Swing Golf Academy is hosting a fun event aimed at getting your children excited about golf. Enjoy an evening of food, fun and competition. Unleash that inner golf champion. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit Eventbrite.com.
  • When: Friday, June 2, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
    Where: Timbercreek Golf Club, 9650 Timbercreek Blvd., Spanish Fort

Dead Night at District Hall

  • What: Put on your finest tie-dye, order a drink and dinner and enjoy an evening of Grateful Dead music. Fairhope-based band Ramblin' Roses has new songs ready and some new instruments for your listening pleasure.
  • When: Friday, June 2, at 7 p.m.
  • Where: District Hall, 761 Nichols Ave., Fairhope

Movies & Music in the Park

  • What: Pack up your lawn chairs and blankets and head to Lillian Recreational Park for an evening of music, fun and "Top Gun." Rachel Lane will delight your ears while the children enjoy activities and a book reading by Angel Stull-James of her book "Blue Angel." There might even be a surprise visit by a Blue Angel team member. Concessions will be open selling food to enjoy while "Top Gun" will begin at dusk on a 20-foot screen.
  • When: Friday, June 2, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: Lillian Recreational Park, 33914 Widell Ave., Lillian
  • Price: Free to attend

Color Fairhope with Pride

  • What: For the third year, the Color Fairhope with Pride Festival will bring the community together to celebrate Pride on the Eastern Shore. The event will feature local vendors, live performances, the Pride Flag Fashion Showcase and a silent auction. The event is family friendly.   • When: Saturday, June 3, from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Where: South Beach Park, 1 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope

Beach Plastic Exploration

  • What: Venture to Dauphin Island to learn about the fate of plastics in our environment. The Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Mississippi State University Coastal Research and Extension Service have joined forces to bring this event to the public. Learn about and experience "nurdle patrols" to find and document plastics on our beaches and add data to the nurdle data map. Learn how MSU Extension agents study microplastics, how they impact the marine environment and how to reduce your everyday use of plastic. Light refreshments will be provided during the viewing of the movie "The Smog of the Sea." To register for the event, visit www.disl.edu.
  • When: Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Where: East End Beach, 52 Bienville Blvd., Dauphin Island
  • Price: Free to attend

Full Moon Paddle

  • What: Enjoy an evening on the water with a guided paddle on Wolf Bay to watch the sunset and full moon rise, live music and catered hors d'oeuvres for a good cause. Money raised during the summer season will benefit the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center. Registration is required and closes at noon the day before each event.   • When: Saturday, June 3 at 6 p.m. Future dates: July 30 and Aug. 27.
  • Where: Wind & Water Learning Center, 26233 Canal Road, Orange Beach

Gulf Coast Home & Outdoor Expo

  • What: Have a honey-do list a mile long this summer? Find everything you need to make your house feel like a home at the Gulf Coast Home and Outdoor Expo. Vendors representing everything from home appliances and roofing to outdoor living will be on hand.
  • When: Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Daphne Civic Center, 2603 U.S. Hwy 98, Daphne
  • Price: Free to attend
