6 things to do around the Gulf Coast this weekend, Sept. 10-13

Posted

September is bringing plenty of reasons to get out of the house, whether you’re ready to raise a glass, raise some money or raise the roof.

Whether your weekend goal inlcudes sipping something fancy, admiring some fresh paint, rolling for initiative or partying like it’s 1985, our local calendar has it covered. From a fundraiser featuring a bestselling author and a two-day mural festival to gaming, live music and an 80s-themed 5K, there’s a little something for just about every kind of weekend warrior.

And if that doesn’t sound like enough, there’s always the tried-and-true strategy of saying, “I’m just going to check out one event” and somehow ending up at three.

Consider this your sign to make some plans, gather the crew and get ready for a weekend full of fun.

These events, along with many others happening throughout the region, appear on our Happenings pages as space permits and online at www.GulfCoastMedia.com/things-to-do-events. Most event coverage is published online in advance of the event, making it easier to plan ahead.

For the fastest placement, submit events to the online calendar at www.GulfCoastMedia.com/calendar. Calendar submissions are published the same day they are received and are considered for inclusion in print listings. Up to 10 events are selected each week for print publication.
