These are the candidates who qualified for the Republican special primary election in congressional districts affected by the redrawing of lines following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

U.S. House of Representatives — Congressional District 1 - includes Baldwin County

  • John Mills
  • Austin Sidwell

U.S. House of Representatives — Congressional District 2

  • Hampton Harris
  • Christian Horn
  • Rhett Marques
  • David Matthews
  • Joshua McKee
  • James Richardson

U.S. House of Representatives — Congressional District 6

  • Case Dixon
  • Gary Palmer

U.S. House of Representatives — Congressional District 7

  • Ammie Akin
  • David W. Perry

The special primary election will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Pursuant to legislation passed by the Alabama Legislature during a recent special session, there will be no runoff election associated with the special primary election. Nominees for the affected congressional districts will be determined solely by the results of the Aug. 11 election
