If you are trying to find a fun event happening this weekend you are in luck. Baldwin County has three festivals happening this weekend and each offers something different. If seafood and classic cars excite you then head to Orange Beach for the Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show. If you love oysters, then make a beeline for the Fort Morgan Oyster Fest at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores. Not a seafood lover? Not a problem. Get yourself to Fairhope for the Chili for Charity event. If these events do not excite you, head to GulfCoastMedia.com and visit the event calendar for more weekend happenings.

Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday
What: The Baldwin County Commission adopted the Severe Weather Preparedness Tax Holiday which allows for the exemption of Baldwin County sales and use tax for items related to severe weather preparedness. This is a great time to stock your hurricane kit with batteries, duct tape, plywood, tarps and more. Visit revenue.alabama.gov for a full list of items exempt during this time.
When: Midnight, Friday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, Feb. 26 at midnight

Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show
What: The 31st Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show return to The Wharf this weekend. The festival is a major fundraising event for the Makos Academics Arts & Athletics Club (MAAAC) which benefits Orange Beach City Schools. Enjoy a day of food, artists, music, children's activities and a car show. For more information and schedule, visit orangebeachal.gov.
When: Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: The Wharf, 23101 Canal Road, Orange Beach
Price: Free to attend

Chili for Charity 2023
What: Chili, live music and activities are the components of a fun day out with family and friends. The Ecumenical Ministries annual Chili for Charity event will take over the Halstead Amphitheater at Coastal Alabama Community College in Fairhope. Bring a chair and plant to enjoy the afternoon all in the name of charity. All proceeds support Ecumenical Ministries. Visit Eventbrite.com to purchase a ticket.
When: Saturday, Feb. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Halstead Amphitheater, 440 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope
Price: Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children ages 12 and under are free.

Annual Fort Morgan Oyster Fest
What: Celebrate the oysters grown in the waters surrounding the Fort Morgan peninsula at the Annual Fort Morgan Oyster Fest. Oysters from Navy Cove and other Fort Morgan oysters will be served in several ways. There will also be festival food, drinks, beer and cocktails. Play oyster shell games, enjoy live music and test your oyster-shucking skills and enter to win the oyster-shucking contest. Visit Eventbrite.com for tickets.

Where: The Beach Club Resort and Spa, 925 Beach Club Trail, Gulf Shores
Price: Admission is $35 (The day of the event) or $30 in advance and includes entrance to the festival, parking and 10 tickets for oysters, food and drink.
