DAPHNE, Ala. — The Daphne Finance Committee recommended the City Council to appropriate $30,000 for the Bayfront Park subfloor repair.
The building’s insulation damaged the subfloor, and the committee recommended Monday night that the city council appropriate the money to place plywood supports to reinforce the subflooring and then replace the insulation for the building.
Without the fix, the concrete floor that the public walks on could collapse, officials said.
Mayor Fred Small said that many people have complained about the building temperatures, and the city has looked at this topic for a few years.
