Get ready to sink your teeth into some finger-lickin' good fun at the 2024 BBQ & Blues Cook Off, where the aroma of savory meats mingles with the soulful sounds of blues music, promising a weekend packed with lip-smackin' treats and toe-tappin' beats.

The eagerly awaited 2024 Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off, presented by RiverView Turf, is set to ignite Heritage Park in downtown Foley on March 8 and 9 for its 16th consecutive year, promising a tantalizing blend of award-winning barbecue, live music and family-friendly fun.

The weekend festivities begin on Friday night at 5 p.m. with a lineup of local musicians, food trucks and a fully stocked bar.

Then, on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., the main event kicks off with the annual Cook-Off, sanctioned by both the Alabama Barbecue Association Trail and the Kansas City Barbeque Society. Over 30 backyard division cook teams from across the Gulf Coast will vie for the prestigious Grand Championship title and other awards. The team earning the highest "People’s Choice" donations will have the honor of displaying a traveling trophy at their establishment for the year. Alongside the culinary competition, attendees can enjoy a variety of food and beverage options, explore craft and retail vendors, and experience the lively kids’ zone.

Admission to the Friday Night Concert is $10, with tickets available for purchase onsite. Similarly, entry tickets for Saturday's Cook-Off are $10, offering access to a day filled with flavors, live music and the awards ceremony starting at 4 p.m.

Adding a creative touch to the occasion, students from 14 schools in South Baldwin County are encouraged to submit designs for the official t-shirt of the event each year. The top 25 submissions will be framed and showcased at the event.

Foley High School student Kris Navas-Fuentes has been named the winner of the 2024 Foley BBQ & Blues t-shirt design competition. Her design will be prominently featured on the shirts available for purchase at the merchandise tent during the cook-off, so make sure to grab one.

Organized by the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, the Foley BBQ & Blues Festival not only promises a weekend of entertainment but also serves as a means of supporting educational initiatives within the community. Proceeds from the event go directly towards the Foundation's endeavors in fostering leadership, enriching education, and enhancing the lives of students.
